Leo Holtz

	Leo Holtz, 71, of Ashley passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2000 at 11:10 a.m. at St. Marys/Good Samaritan Hospital in Centralia.
	Mr. Holtz was born at Rural Ashley on March 29, 1929 the son of Alex and Margaret (Rozanski) Holtz. He was united in marriage to Mary (Toennies) Cassity July 19, 1974 at Fulsom, Missouri and she survives in Ashley. He was previously married to Laverne (Konkel) Holtz who preceded him in death.
	Mr. Holtz was retired having worked as a farm mechanic for Thomson Farm Supply in Ashley. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom and was also a member of American Legion Post 110 in Nashville.
	In addition to his wife Mary he is survived by two sons, Brian Cassity and wife Beth and Richard Holtz and wife Ardy all of Tamaroa; seven daughters, Terri Ritchason and husband Ken and Carla Schwartz and husband Marien of Radom, Paula Schomaker of Centralia, Cheryl Skinbinski and husband Rick of Ashley, Bonnie Witges and husband Clarence of Scheller, Marcia Sherman and husband Chris of Mt. Vernon and Gail Hierholzer and husband Mark of Sacramento, California; two brothers, Stanley Holtz and wife Marilyn of St. Louis and Raymond Holtz and wife Marjorie of Du Bois; four sisters, Elizabeth Sikorski and Veronica Wojtowicz and husband Frank, all of Radom, Leona Bogucki and husband Joseph of St. Louis and Theresa Hohmeier of Adams, Nebraska; 19 grandchildren, Shawn, Kami and Jordon Chesnek, James and Paul Ritchason and Gregg Schwartz all of Radom, Chesley and Kyle Cassity, Quentin Holtz and Andrea Dunmyer of Tamaroa, Michael Schomaker of St. Libory, Jake and Sara Skinbinski of Ashley, Brian and Caleb Witges of Scheller, Casey and Emily Sherman of Mt. Vernon and Micah and Noah Hierholzer of Sacramento, California; and two great-grandchildren Haley and Oliva Szczepanski.
	He was preceded by his parents and his first wife Laverne. 
	Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, October 11, 2000 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom with Reverend Jerome Hibner officiating.
	Friends called at the Campagna Funeral Home in Ashley from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. 
	Mr. Holtz was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Army. Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 110 of Nashville at the Cemetery.
	Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the technological fund at St. Michael School.
